Dear Show Team Parents, Coaches and Gymnasts,
Again, I was so very proud of the Show Team girls. They were definitely troupers at the Coaches Hands-on-Spotting Clinic.
Claire Aven, Brittany, Kiara, Shelby, Jordan, Alyssa, Alison and Alexia did the Sunday morning clinic for almost two hours
and then did another hands-on-spotting clinic at 1:30-2:30. Brittany said she did about 24 fulls and her bun was knocked
sideways. I am sure all of these girls are very sore today or they could just be "what I think" are the best sports and really
great girls and athletes. I just cannot tell you how many people told me after watching the TeamGym clinic on Saturday that
they could not believe that these girls only take 2x's a week! Thank you to ClaireA, Brittany, Kiara, Shelby, Jordan, ClaireJ,
Callie, Alyssa, Alison, Alexia, Meredith, RebekahR and Marina for help instruct the coaches on the TeamGym and to
represent your team at the National Honor Awards banquet. Wow! - it was so cool to see all of you standing there with such
pride. Thank you to Lisa Corder, Lori Bowles, SheilaJ, TinaM, KarenR and Akemi for supporting and volunteering at this
Gymnastics Association of Texas annual convention. There were about 400 coaches (less than the previous years due to
the USAG congress held in Texas this year) but still a great turn-out! You can see the wonderful pictures on the website -
thanks to Akemi! Thank you to Cindy and Jonathan for helping me with the clinics and the banquet! You were great. As
always, thank you to Rob and Cheryl - you are invaluable.
Rob was really good at his clinic even though he said I made him nervous, so I watched behind the curtain - he was great!
I will see you all on Wednesday after wading through a sea of papers and leftover awards, yadayadayada!
Peaches,
Ms. Jodie
